A 35-year-old woman was killed and her 44-year-old husband was injured when they were rear-ended by a driver under the influence of methamphetamines and Ecstasy. Art Kosieradzki & Finn Shapiro settled their claims for $1.1 million.

A Grand Rapids man and his wife were awarded $1.1 million after a Hibbing jury found that a doctor at the Hibbing Family Medical Center failed to timely diagnose and treat his prostate cancer. On December 19, 2013 Adam Jensen and his good friend were killed after the vent damper in a home boiler heating system failed to open. A deadly combination of soot build-up and a failure to maintain a carbon monoxide detector in the home caused their deaths. The family hired attorney Jeffrey Sieben, to hold those responsible for Adam’s death accountable. As part of the investigation of this claim, Sieben compiled a team of experts from around the country to test the heating system and document the failures present at the time of this tragedy. Sieben was able to settle the case for Adam’s death for $1 million just weeks before the trial date.

Our client, on her way to a dental appointment, traveled through an intersection on a green light when suddenly another driver made a left-hand turn in front of her. The two vehicles collided and our client's vehicle was spun around by the force of the impact.

After visiting his cousin in Minneapolis, our client was on his way home. Meanwhile, the defendant jumped in his car after being served excessive alcohol at a bar. He later admitted he had no recollection of leaving the bar. He entered I-35 and reached speeds over 100 mph when he hit our client. Not only was the defendant drunk, he was uninsured. We settled the case for the dram shop policy limits from the bar that had been serving the defendant driver.
