A semi traveling in poor winter driving conditions was unable to see the vehicle in front of him due to blowing snow. Traveling with 40,000 pounds of sausage in the trailer, he rear-ended our client's car and the car stuck to the front of the semi. The two entwined vehicles traveled together as he braked, finally coming to a stop in the ditch. Our client loss consciousness and has no memory of the accident at all. Our client sustained severe injuries from this accident, including cognitive difficulties following her head injury.

One woman's life was turned upside-down when she was in a severe motor vehicle accident. She was a back-seat passenger when the vehicle was T-boned by an inattentive driver. The insurance company offered $45,000 to settle her claim and refused to increase their offer, even after this woman underwent a spinal fusion as a result of her injuries.

A wrongful death action arose out of a two vehicle collision at the intersection of two highways in rural Minnesota. Our client's son, a 17 year old rear seat passenger in one of the vehicles, was fatally injured. Susan Holden represented the surviving father and three surviving younger brothers.

Our client was a highly skilled motorcycle driver at the time of her injury.  All of her defensive driving skills could did not prepare her for the violent crash and injuries she sustained when an inattentive driver rear-ended her as she was stopped in traffic.

Our client was invited over to gather tomatoes in their neighbor's yard. As she was picking tomatoes, their dalmatian came over wagging his tail. Our client reached down to pet him, and he bit her for no reason in the lower lip. She was taken to the hospital for a plastic surgery consultation and immediate repair. Although the surgery was successful, a light scar remained near her lower lip. There was approximately $30,000 in medicals, the majority of which were paid by her health insurer.

Our client was a journeyman electrician and a member of the IBEW union. He received numerous permanent injuries on the job throughout his career. His employer denied liability for some of those injuries. He worked 17 years for his company and when injuries prevented him from working any longer, he was forced to retire.

Our client was a bicycle commuter and was commuting to work in downtown Minneapolis when his accident occurred. He was proceeding through an intersection on a green light when he was broadsided by a car that was turning left. That driver claimed she did not see our client on his bicycle when she made her turn.

Our client and his friend were drinking all day. Late in the evening, our client fell asleep in the car and his friend was involved in a single vehicle accident. He was traveling at highway speed, lost control of the vehicle and veered off onto the shoulder, causing the vehicle to overturn on the shoulder. Our client was thrown out of the vehicle and both he and the driver were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Blood test results showed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. Our client received two fractures in his right leg that required surgery and hospitalization for over a week.  He continued to suffer pain in his right hip and weakness in that leg.

Our client was hired to work as a subcontractor on a garage project. While working on scaffolding, the subcontractors, including our client, were positioning sheathing on the first level of the roof. While working 12-15 feet off the ground, the scaffold pulled free from the wall causing our client to fall to the ground, landing on his feet.  As a result of the fall, our client fractured both heels, had screws and plates placed in his right heel, fractured both ankles and fractured two bones in his lower right leg.

Our client was driving through an intersection on a green light when another vehicle ran the red light and hit his car on the driver’s side and spun our client’s car around several times. Both our client, and his wife who was a passenger, were taken to Regions Hospital from the accident scene with serious injuries. The driver that hit them was also taken to the hospital.
